The only way you can become your authentic self is to fully take control of your life; your thoughts, attitude and actions. The reason why most people are unhappy is they let other people and circumstances own and control their lives, they let problems control their lives, and they let a paycheck, or money control and determine their lives – that’s why the rich people own their life.
Most people let their children, spouse and family control their lives, let their jobs, employers, government own and control their lives; and wonder why they are not getting ahead with their lives. Remember that you cannot get ahead in life without yourself; you will always be behind.
Brain Tracy said, “People who don’t think for themselves are doomed to failure”, for sure. The only way you can own, control and improve your life, is to take authentic ownership of your life, to start thinking for yourself, to make decisions for yourself and your life, to take full responsibility of what happens to you, to use to benefit what you already have within you – your birth right gifts, abilities, genius, mindset and purpose of why you are here on this earth. This is what is called authentic empowerment, as Dr. Wayne Dyer said, “Authentic empowerment is the knowing that you are on purpose, doing God’s work, peacefully and harmoniously.”
Though most people are still blaming outside circumstances for their problems, it’s a sigh that they are not in charge of their lives 100%. There are still immature mentally. George Bernard Shaw said;
“People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, make them”
Becoming your authentic self comes as a result of taking full control of your own whole life and what happens to you. Taking control of your thoughts, attitude, emotions, circumstances and actions, and not putting blame on others for what happens to you. Its taking responsibility to create the life you want, not the life that others want you experience. It’s in owning and taking control of our lives that we become an authentic self of our own lives.
