If a person doesn’t know and understand themselves from their spiritual level, they will always be a victim of being controlled by other people and circumstances too. Such people have been programmed subconsciously in their childhood life that someone else out owes them a living, a life, for example a job is responsible to take care of me after I leave school or a pension package will take care of me when I retire from employment, if such entitlement mentality will still exist where we are going.
Assuring people in their child that when you go through this process or this system it will guarantee you a good safe secure life after then, is one way that hinders many people and grow up not knowing who they where spiritually meant to be, do, have and share on this earth. “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience”, said the French philosopher, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.
All this is a result of childhood programming that the world owes you a living when it’s the opposite. No one out there owes you anything; you must go out there and earn it. In truth we are the ones who owe the world, that’s why we must go out there and give out what we owe to the world and to do this, it requires some level of self knowledge, self understanding of our sense of what we are here to be, do, have and share on this mother earth.
As the Greeks said a long time ago that “Know Thyself”, which means understand “How your mind works, understand your purpose or your own talents, mind your own life business, use your creativity and understand yourself as a spiritual being”. Get to understand thy self as Sun Tzu said a long time ago that “Know thyself and you will win all battles”. And the second thing that causes and makes many people become victims that are controlled by other fellow human beings is next;
Fear of Taking Responsibility
It’s very easy to blame others, the wind, God or devil so called for your problems or mistakes than it is to become responsible of whatever happens to you especially if you have been raised to blame and depend on others for the unwanted circumstances that happens in your life. Self-Responsibility has often been said is the greatest work, simply because it’s a lifetime job, and only death is the separator, that’s why so few people engage in it.
Every day we are faced with problems, some are known, small and seen coming, some are unknown, big and not seen coming, but when they happen to you, they become your responsibility, because they have happen to you, though so many find an excuse to blame it on someone or something. If you can’t solve your own problems, problems will solve you and control you, for example people who don’t solve their financial problems are controlled by people who have taken control of their financial life, that’s why we have people who are employees working for people who are financially independent, who own their own businesses like Google, IBM, Dangote, Virgin, Coca Cola, Facebook, Alibaba companies, etc.
Problems happen to everyone, but few people are willing to take charge of their own problems, that’s why so few people are problem solvers in this world. Truth is, most problems are scaring, that’s why so few people engage themselves in scaring problems to solve them. But in scaring problems, that’s where growth comes from, that’s were great entrepreneurs make big profits and that’s were great opportunities lies in. International bestselling author of Rich Dad Poor Dad quoted that “
Being an entrepreneur means driving through a road littered with obstacles and being able to knock every single one down; and this requires self-responsibility which so main people run away from and let their employers take control of their responsibility instead of themselves; and once you let other people control what you suppose to take control of yourself and of which you are capable of handling, you have made yourself an idiot. Entrepreneurs take control, employees are controlled.
Its laziness to think and fear to take full responsibility one’s life that has made majority of people poor and stupid and become slaves of a few fellow human-beings. Many people give up their personal responsibility to be controlled by others and events. Lack of responsibility drives darkness in many people’s minds that’s the reason someone said, “A head full of fears has no space for dreams.”
And it’s true once you become fully responsible of your life; that’s the moment you pass from childhood to adult hood as John C. Maxwell said; “The greatest day in your life and mine is when we take total responsibility for our attitudes. That’s the day we truly grow up.”
And I think that’s why people who are not fully responsible of their lives depend so much on their jobs, family, spouse or the governments to make a living for them. And people who are not in control or not in full control of their own lives are the same people who blame others for what happens for them, complain about what happens to them instead of taking charge and do something about what happens to them, and its only a person, who is fully responsible of their life, who takes charge of what happens to them.
It’s high time we became adults, and start contributing than being contributed by others, start creating than being created by others, become fully responsible and in control of our lives and what happens to us, than the government or someone being in control of our lives and what happens to us.
It’s high time we started taking full responsibility of our own future wisely than letting our future in the hands of a job, the government, and other people or to chance, and moreover nothing happens by chance, chance is always created and always created by what you do today, in your now. James Sun said; “If you don’t try and expect the extraordinary, expect failure or mediocre results.” Mr. Bob Proctor also said; “To ignore the power of paradigms to influence your judgment, is to put yourself at risk when exploring the future”.
It’s the people who become fully responsible to what happens to them and create a better change who become very successful in life, and not the runaway people. Frank Crane put it this way too, “Responsibility is the thing people dread most of all. Yet it is the one thing in the world that develops us, gives us manhood or womanhood fiber.”
Remember no one out there owes you anything or a living. You must go out there and earn it. In truth we are the ones who owe the world, that’s why we must go out there and give out what we owe to the world. Everything for a successful life is already in us; we are born everything we will ever want for a successful life within us, all we need to do is look inside ourselves.
Stop letting people and events take control of your life, you have the power to control your own life, create and control your own destiny. Cut letting other people control your life, it’s your life, not someone else’s life. Begin to live your own life.
