Poverty is self inflicted. The consumer mindset is what inflicts poverty in most people’s lives.
Instead of thinking about how many opportunities your money can afford you, as a consumer inclined person, you tend to think about how long your money will last you in spending it.
The poor see money as an harvest, they see it as food and eat it. Whereas, the rich see money as seed, something to be planted and replanted, before it can bring a bountiful harvest.
The poor think about spending, talk about spending, and compete about spending, while the rich think about earning, talk about earning, and compete about earning.
The poor think being rich is being able to spend more. They think the richest is he who spends the most. On the other hand, the rich think being rich is being able to earn more. They think the richest is he who earns more.
Stop spending your way to poverty and begin earning your way to affluence. You are poor because of yourself.
That poverty is self inflicted.
