Though they say no experience goes to waste if you learn from it, but the truth is you will never rewind those past lifetime years, they are gone, wasted forever. It’s the same when someone discovers their life purpose or talents when they are old, they regret for sure they wasted themselves by minding other people’s life purpose and businesses and neglected to mind their own purpose and businesses; this is mostly what the majority of employees go through life neglecting themselves and their potentials within, and blinded to chase a paycheck and working harder to make an employer’s dreams and goals become rich and successful.

Depending a life outside yourself is always limited and unfulfilled, and many have and are experiencing this as Samuel Morgan said; “When people discover their purpose late in life, they weep and lament over the past because they begin to realize they could have achieved a lot if they had channeled their strength and resources into their purpose”.

However, it’s never too late to start afresh for a man who has become wise from his experience, yes indeed often wisdom also comes in through learnt mistakes. The goodness with life is that it offers you a second chance. You can begin today; if you don’t want to regret again years, months or hours you have in front of you. It’s what the 1835-1990 Humorist and Author of the book “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” Mark Twain said;

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

If you are young, please don’t think you will have more time in future than this time you have this moment, the right time to begin working on your dreams, to take full control of your own future is now, now is the only time you have and have to begin.

For some days I vision and imagined myself in the shoe, experiencing the life an old friend who is in his 60’s now, who is retired and struggling financially; I still learn important lesson from his experience and its true if you want to learn from other people’s problems, just try to imagine yourself in that situation; it’s simple to say this, but when you just mentally take it serious as you are the one experiencing such a life, your perception of life begins to shift and you even get serious with what you do with your life now.

The problem is most people especially young people have not learnt and have not been taught this important life lesson of walking in others shoes, more especially old people’s shoes; this is the reason why many don’t learn from other people’s experiences. Just that of putting myself in my old friend’s experience, who worked so hard at a job for so many years just chasing a pension, promotion after promotion but only ending up retiring broke and poor, with a peanut butter pension package; this made me realize that “Life is too boring and miserable to work harder minding someone’s else company dreams and goals, and only to retire broke and poor, I can even include stupid simply because some retirees are that”. If you don’t build your own dreams, someone else will hire you to work to make his or her dreams come true.

Mr. Robert Kiyosaki in his book “Rich Dad’s Guide to Investing: What the rich invest in, that the poor and the middle class do not”, pointed out inspiring words from his Rich dad father, words that up to date are still inspiring me, that says,

Kiyosaki, the trouble of with being young is that you don’t know what it feels like to be old. If you knew what being old felt like, you would plan your financial life differently.” Mr. Norman Cousins said it too “You are younger today than you will ever be again. Make use of it for the sake of tomorrow.”

However the good news is, anyone can do this if they just make up their mind to begin today to plan their future financial life wisely, to become fully in control of their own future, to become fully responsible of their own life; it’s what am doing now, you can do it too. The fact is this; “Your life is yours, you either live in charge of it or you leave it being charged by others”. The only time you have is now to plan your future financial life and to become fully in control of your life, or someone will take over your life. Your past is the reflection of your today, and your today will be the reflection of your future, so plan wisely and work better today to experience a better future in your future.

This is the time to begin making your own money, rather than chasing someone else’s money. This is the time to follow your passion, and let success follow you as Walt Disney said; “Chase your passion, not your pension.” Steve Jobs said, “Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other opinions drown your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary”.

Stop chasing other people’s money or other people’s dreams and goals, focus on your own process and your own results will come. Follow and sale your own passion; money is the reward of sharing or selling your own passion, and everyone willing can do this. Your life is personal, be personal with your personal dreams and goals. Create the life you want, and now is the only time you have to create that life you really want and desire.

Remember that wasted years are gone forever; the only ones you have remained with are the ones in front of you, please utilize them before you lose them all too. Your life is a project, please run it at a profit.
