Remember that a government is a unity of individuals, without individuals they would be no such an organization or business as a government. Author of the book “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”, Stephen R. Covey said, “We can never really change someone. But we can help. We can be a resource.”
But citizens who vote make a great mistakes every after five years when it is time for elections, they change political parties as if its clothes, thinking that a new elected party will change or progress their lives for them, or will give them good highly paying jobs, low taxes, or cheaper fuel, that’s not the way it is in the political world.
The problem with the majority of people who vote they have a mentality that someone or this party when it comes into power, it will make my life better. No one can make your life better without yourself. No one can change you if you don’t want to change. George Bernard Shaw said; “Those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”
No person, no government will give you a successful life in absence of your own effort, it’s you yourself, no one else to make that effort. The government or the economy is not the issue, the issue is you. This is one reason why when you vote for a new party, and it does not fulfill what it said in the campaign manifesto, we become like lost souls, complain of the rights of the workers, strike or riot, blame, criticize and think this will change the government.
And most of us think by blaming the government for our unhappiness, that will make change, nothing will change, and this only leads us to become more unhappy, insane and astray. If you want change, create it, not waiting for someone to create change for you. Ezra Pound a long time ago said; “A slave is a person who waits for someone to come and free him.” Indeed it’s true, if you want something and you have the ability to get it, but you wait for someone to come to go get it for you, then you have made yourself a slave of that person. This is the reason why the majority of people have made themselves slaves of the government, hoping, and waiting for the government to make progress for their own lives when they have the ability already to do it on their own. Only you can make your life better.
