Let’s hope you have noticed this; for me the biggest problem to date that is still persisting from some of my retired family members, neighbors or those the retired I hear out there is, when they retire from a job, they also retire from life. And many of us we don’t know that when one retires from life, then they are just as dead as a dead mouse.

Before we go far, to retire means to expire, and that’s what many retirees end up after they retire from a job; but it must not end up like this, though many have not realized that a retirement can be a new venture, a new challenge, a new path, the beginning of the fulfillment of a long dream.

Therefore, a retirement must not be a depressing time and it must not be a burden to your children or family as it becomes for many; and it’s in expressing, depressing to hear someone retired saying or thinking, “What will I do now that I am retired?”, in effect, he or she is saying, “I am mentally and physically dead. My mind is bankrupt of ideas”, but life must not end up in this depressing moment after employment, in fact it must be a new beginning of a new interesting life, not the other way round.

It has been said that you grow old when you lose interest in life, when you cease to dream, to hunger after new truths and to search for new worlds to conquer, fact, and the sure way to never retire out of life is to never retire out of life, to make sure that your mind never retires.

Your mind must be like a parachute – it’s of no use at all unless it opens up. Therefore, your mind must be open and receptive to new ideas, and with this attitude, this mindset, you will always be young and vital, and retirement in the employment world that no longer exist, which is actually a programmed illusion by our school-system, will never be a reality to your life; but will become a new venture, a new challenge, a new path, the beginning of the fulfillment of a long dream and a new adventure to conquer a new world.

Let your retirement be your new adventure.
