Your Partner (In Business and In Life) Can Be Your Greatest Asset or Liability

by Maradona Chalwe

Till date, many people only know an asset or a liability is always something outside ourselves; for example many still believe an asset is only a house, a car, a business or something materialistic; well they can be, but these aren’t the only ones. The biggest asset or liability is our own mind and other people’s minds that we surround ourselves with.

Fact is this, even your best friend or your wife or husband can be your greatest liabilities to your life, and so is the opposite. And it’s a shame that the value of most people’s dreams died immediately after they got married. Mind you even you yourself can be your greatest liability or asset.

“Your partner (In Business and In Life) can be your greatest asset or liability. Choose Wisely”

In the financial world a liability has been defined as something that takes away money from your pocket, with or without working; and then an asset is something that puts money in your pocket, with or without working. A liability feeds on you, and an asset feeds you.

In the personal development world, a liability is a person who does not add value, who takes away value and who divides value away from your life; and an asset is a person who adds and multiplies value in your life. Is your partner feeding on you or feeding you?

Financial/Personal Development Education Question;

Are the people your surround and hang around with, supporting and adding value to your own dreams, mind or life? If not, it’s high time you stopped spending much time with such people or you had to find another company that will be adding value to your dreams, mind or life. We have been told for millions, possibly billions of years that we become the people we spend most of our time with, but most people take this advice shoddily. Life is just too miserable to spend it with people who do not support progress you dream about.

If you have a partner, make sure you grow together financially too, the most neglected issue in relationships, empower each other with success information and ideas, find couples that are doing better in areas you want to succeed at, become friends with them, learn from them and continue the growth partnership process; a successful relationship is a success learning institute. Education is a process, and so is a relationship and partnership a learning process. It takes one person to get into a relationship, but it takes both spouses to prosper a relationship.

Caution: “Choosing your partner for your life is like choosing parents for rest of your life” – Boopathi Shree. Choose wisely.

I leave you with success relationship encouraging words from Edmund Lee who said, “Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, the believers and thinkers, but most of all, and surround yourself with those who see greatness within you, even when you don’t see it yourself”. Good Lucky.
