You cannot tell people to stop treating you as an idiot when all your behavior and action is an idiot. Mind you this golden rule applies in all areas of our lives.
How do you expect to live a good life, if you hate yourself?
How do expect to be self-confident if you don’t believe in yourself?
How do you expect to get rich when you hate rich people?
How do you expect to live a rich life, if you have a poor mindset?
How do you expect to have more money if you say money is evil?
How do you expect to have more money if you say money is not important?
How do you expect to become health when you don’t think health and do not do any physical exercise?
How do you expect your dog to like you when you don’t like your dog?
How do you expect your neighbor to like you when you don’t like your neighbor?
Give yourself the life you want others to give you. Mahatma Gandhi put it very clear that “Become the first change you want to see first in your world.” It has to begin with you to change, not your neighbor or your husband. Nothing will work well with you until you start to treat well yourself.
In life if everything has to work in perfect arrangement, you have to be in perfect arrangement with yourself first. You can only get from others what you give to yourself first. If you want others to respect you, respect yourself first. And that’s why you must begin with yourself, to do unto yourself what you want others to do unto you. You are the reflection of what you experience in your life.
